Workforce Demos

Two workforce demographic trends will present ongoing challenges. The upward shift in the average age of the workforce will mean more health care dollars spent by employers and potentially increased volume and length of workers’ comp claims.

Pushes for greater gender diversity in senior management roles will also present risk for companies who do not pursue diversity initiatives or consciously hire more women into leadership roles.  Organizations who don’t effectively manage the shifts in workforce demographics could end up with unnecessary medical spend and lost productivity.
